Geometric Distortion Phantom

Designed for evaluation of possible geometric distortions in mammography images.

Features

The geometric distortion phantom can be used for verification if there is no geometric distortion visible in images. According to the European guidelines for Mammography, the geometric distortion has to be evaluated by measuring the distances on an image with the phantom. Also, it has to be checked if the borders and the lines at the phantom are visible and straight.

SPecification

The dimensions of the Geometric Distortion Phantom is 320 x 260 mm. This phantom contains a wire mesh of horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines (45°). For tomography systems, a special low contrast 3D geometric distortion phantom is available.
