Water-Equivalent Phantom for Photon Counting CT

Enhance repeatability and reduce operator error using AutoQA Plus, an automated CT QA software that evaluates image quality parameters with precision.

• The software detects the inserts with different concentrations and materials and places of the VOI (Volume of Interest)
• The mean VOI (Volume of Interest) and the measured SD (Standard Deviation) of the CT numbers are measured and displayed on the “Trend Report Links”

Optional inserts containing Gadolinium (Gd) are available for advanced K-edge imaging applications.

The CTwater + Gadolinium set (QRM-10152) includes six concentrations: 0.0, 1.0, 2.0, 5.0, 10.0 and 15.0 mg/cm³

Beyond the extension rings used to simulate obesity, two supplementary extension blocks are optionally available. These are particularly valuable for wide detector coverages and offer insights into the influence of scattered radiation on image quality, material mapping and VMI performance.

Image acquisition and image processing at multiple energylevels is improving visualization for computed tomography.The QRM Multi-Energy QA phantom is ideally suited to testmulti-energy spectral CT protocols and post-processing tech-niques.

The phantom consists of a removable/stand-alone headphantom ( 160 mm cylinder) with 10 holes (_ 25 mm)to house different inserts and an oval (QRM-10150) or anoptional circular (QRM-10151)body,equipped with 9 bores.Body and Head section are made of water-equivalent materi-al (CTwater).

The phantom is equipped with a set of 26 inserts includingrods enriched with several contrast media (water+iodine, ad-ipose+iodine) as well as calcium (water+calcium hydroxyap-atite),each material with different concentrations. Addition-ally, water- and soft tissue-equivalent inserts (adipose, liver,brain -ICRU Report 44 and 46)are included. Mass density,concentration and electron density are provided for allmaterials.

Other materials (e.g. blood+lodine, various ICRU Tissues etc.)can be manufactured upon request.Optionally, all inserts (recommended for/especially the higherattenuating materials) can be manufactured with reducedmaterial diameter (e.g. O 10 mm) embedded in a wa-ter-equivalent shell in total O 25 mm).
